PDE5 inhibitors are a class of drugs primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), a condition in which men have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection. These medications work by increasing blood flow to the penis, enabling a man to achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. PDE5 inhibitors are also used for other conditions such as pulmonary hypertension.
